Build Your Own Stair Railing
In order to fix the post securely in place use the drill to make a couple of countersink holes one above the other.
Build your own stair railing. Measure and mark the length of your top railing minus the width of your two posts on the 4 4. Slip these posts and rails together for a complete railing. Cut out a hole with the jigsaw blade and insert the post in that hole. Whichever you choose always make sure you follow building codes.
Step 1 start the building job put a railing post on the last step of your staircase and mark its base with a pencil. Connect rails and posts with included slip on fittings to quickly assemble a railing. Remember that the top side of your top railing will be covered with the 1 6 piece so you can use your worst side for the top of the top railing. Thanks to the unique fittings the rail can be installed at any angle.
