Canon Eos Rebel T3 Remote Shutter Release

Hi all i m looking for a remote controller for my t3i.

Canon eos rebel t3 remote shutter release. The pin out is as shown in the picture. The shutter release plug for the canon eos rebel t3i is a 2 5mm stereo plug aka trs plug. To take a photo one must ground the af shutter wire and then whilst the af shutter wire is grounded you ground the shutter release wire which results in a photo being taken. 8 you might be able to use an ir remote but check your manual i don t know about the t3.

I have a wired remote which worked with my non digital eos slr. Actually it looks like it can use the tc80n3 if you use the ra e3 remote controller adapter which i had never heard of until now. I want to press the button once to start the exposure and press it again to end it. The canon eos utility should be able to do this too.

The rebels can only use the wired remote like the rs 60e3. I have the same remote that is mentioned in the reply above this one by roadrash. I know canon has their rc 6 and rs 60e3 but i m looking for something that will allow me to have a long exposure.
